Teal, water, emotions, turbulence, pleasure... ...my feelings of this silhouette standing resolutely free, head thrown back as if laughing or perhaps showing her audience with pride the richness of all she cared for...the sea, the sun, her creatures large and tiny and her pleasure. I actually was overcome by the depth of our interaction. There is more to my story. My relationship with her I feel is only truly beginning. But I wanted to introduce my sketch and poetry of her before I unveil any more. As she is my ode to women worldwide leaning in to their freedom of expression. “Lean in”, I say. And I remember, that I am “Her”. My mother is "Her". My sisters around the world are "Her". The planet we live on is her.
