Marius Kavolis (born 1987) Lithuanian contemporary artist. Young artist's creations - expressive, captivating abstraction, fixing, according to M. Kavolis, moments of energy and good mood. Marius Kavolis is inspired by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Albert Oehlen and Sam Francis. In terms of coloring the influence was made by Jean Michel Basquiat, painting techniques - Gerhard Richter. In 2014 M.Kavolis have explosive start of his artist career when he presents his first solo exhibition - „12 ½“. After that, M.Kavolis exhibits in the prestigious contemporary art fair „Affordable Art Fair Milan“, Italy. Marius Kavolis become well noticed and highly estimated among art collectors. The great start made rising artist marketable not only among western art consumers – in 2015, M. Kavolis opens his solo exhibition in Moscow. After great succeed in Russia market, later in autumn 2015, he holds his solo exhibition in international contemporary art fair “Cosmoscow”, Moscow. November 2015, M.Kavolis became a record holder at the charity auction on the commemoration of 25 th anniversary of the of Lithuanian independence in London.The end of year 2016 was meaningful for Marius - artist exposes his works in Nizhny Novgorod state Art Museum, which history covers more than a century and holds significant collection of classical and modern art.
