" Soggy ground " Over a lifetime there is always a factor which is the bondage of the facts to the relativistic force of time. Seen in this perspective, the knowledge of all that is happening around us evolves with the experience and becomes less objective and inevitably suffers a fading process. The works selected in this collection are images of places that do not really exist, they are combinations of impressions collected in different situations. What is seen is the way the memory combines different things in a new body with a recognizable identity. The painting is 47,3 H x 37,4 W in a 48,8 x 38,9 x 1,6 inch frame and is ready to hang. This Artwork is hand signed and dated in the backside. Along with the Artwork, will be shipped the certificate of authenticity. Julio Alves has produced a diverse body of work that includes painting, drawing, installation and sculpture. With his studio based in Estoril, in the portuguese atlantic coast, he has developed his activity for nearly three decades and has carried out several solo and group exhibitions. With an academic background in architecture, subsequently studied painting at the Society of Fine Arts of Lisbon and in recent years has been devoted entirely to painting. It was during the last decade that he continually has developed the theme of the landscape that is still the core of his work.
