"AU REGARD DE L'ORTHODOXIE EN MAGNE" Inspired by the spirituality of the Chapels in Mani - a quite primitive place at the very south of Peloponnese in Greece-, the artist Marinda Scaramanga has created a series of mixed media paintings, based on her photographic archives. At her place of meditation, she has created this ten years project, illustrating the strong presence of Christianity via the byzantine architecture and its elements. The artworks depict the archetypal character of the Orthodoxy at this particular region. We discover the gracious ambiance of Mani, the reveling enigma, a romantic mystery, a pretext to travail at these arid lands. TheFineArtLab is honored to present part of this collection at the Church of Saint Spyridon in Nice. This piece is an Original Mixed Media Art Work. A photo taken by the artist, printed on Heavyweight (Matte) Photographic Paper, high quality in order to resist to colour degradation for more than 100 years. A photo is worked on the top with acrylic colours. The result is a beautiful and vivid 3D effect which reveals extraordinary colours and shapes.

Born in Athens, I live in the French Riviera since 2010. My art is the product of a healed soul. Bring high frequency artworks to your space. Art links our essence with our physical being. Whatever I express through my work - ideas, memories, emotions, feelings – is created according to my own personal dynamic way of using the camera & my brushes. Through colour, form, symbols, relationships, contrasts, I’m looking for the real meaning of the surrounding environment. I strongly believe in the philosophy of what our eyes see is only a small aspect of the universe. There are many universes, as many as our soul can create. Our senses are limited, soul is not. The knowledge of the soul admittedly contributes greatly to the advance of truth in general, and, above all, to our understanding of Nature, for the soul is in some sense the principle of animal life, according to Aristotle. I like to escape of what we regularly name “reality”. I travel back with my mind, exploring the unlimited potential of intelligence, observe the world beyond the obvious & use Art as a tool to depict my findings. My aim is to motivate people to confront life through a different perspective. Let life imitate Art, as an approach to our psyche.
