About The Artwork
This is an invocation for the protection of corn. There is a war against the ancient corn, made by corporations. Who are defending it? The farmers, the people who have depended on corn since centuries ago. This watercolor is part of a series I made in 2020 when, facing the social distancing, my studio grew towards the garden. During this time I planted some of the food that my family and I eat. I consider food and cultivation as an artistic activity.
