Starting to Think Painting

Lucy was born on the Isle of Wight and now lives in Hampshire. She has exhibited widely and her work is held in many private collections. Recently Lucy has worked with natural pigments and is learning about the seasonal natures of colour and new work is being developed . Lucy's paintings are expressive and joyous - full of wonderful paint strokes that can leave the viewer with no misunderstanding that this is not an attempt at capturing real life. Lucy seeks to capture more than a view or scene but to evoke a feeling, a moment, a memory . A dialogue that occurs between her and the canvas but that is created by past experiences, music and time.
