About The Artwork

In the lead up to the 2022 Winter Olympics I made a series of oil paintings based on photographs of historical events and old school figure skaters when the events were held outdoors and the costumes were very different from today. This painting features a young Sonja Henie representing Norway at St Moritz, 1924. It has been made with high quality Matsuda artists' oil paints on Belgian linen, that is stretched on lightweight kiln dried cedar wood. It is strung on the back ready to hang, but it can be easily framed.

I am delighted to make available original works and prints of my paintings and drawings. I am a landscape and still life painter who sometimes veers off into the non-objective. My work is also available through Nihonbashi Gallery in Tokyo.
