About The Artwork

The focal point moves between the obvious to the subtle. The text - the earth is flat, provides a contrary conclusion to the globe model taught as fact by the establishment. Seen as, and programmed to be taken as a joke, a stupid idea. Then the cartoon character outline, associated with 'ultimate fiction', not intended to be believable. Then the subtle stencils; Minneapolis Umbrella Man - the shadowy figure of 'Oblivion' not comprehended. The second; snake shake - alluding to 'trust' my common theme.

Imaginative play is a significant component of the work, he was influenced by Picasso's technique of "unlearning", emulating childlike drawings. The theme is typically characterized by this sense of unlearning and rejecting the coercion and conformity within popular culture.
