The Hope Iconography Analysis and interpretation of the images The White Dove White Dove is a symbol of love, peace, the soul, the Holy Spirit and the messenger. The Gecko As a twilight and night creature, Geckos are among the “dream-keepers” and “shape shifters”. Also, because of their molting, color changes and the fact that they usually mate in the spring months, Geckos represent transition and transformation, death and rebirth, metamorphosis and letting go of old things for the new. The Cork The cork represents the versatility and adaptability to different situations, to stay afloat in times of turmoil and rise above all the difficult circumstances. The Snail A snail symbolizes: bridging the gap between the element of Earth and Water, the spiral or cycle of life, death and rebirth, fertility, abundance, things coming to fruition. The crystal glass Crystals hold the history of our world, and encapsulate eons of crystalline information, knowledge and wisdom. The Bodies in Wine Wine represents joy and celebration, but the bodies in wine means abuse, excess and lose of the self-control. Falling Falling means lost control of some sort of situation in life. Falling also means that something needs to be fixed right away. The Fire Fire represents the power of change and purification. The Bones The bones represent the essence of the physical existence, the support, the protection of our life. Bare bones without flesh represents death and the fragility of life. The Seagulls Seagulls show a sense of friendship and community and the cooperation that is needed for the whole to operate successfully. Seagulls represent endurance and perseverance. They have power over storms and weather.

Like a river, nature flows ever onward. Even the nature of the flow changes. My work evolves over time, nourished by new experiences and the result of my own evolution as a human being. Over time I also discovered how to transform pain into creativity and difficulties into constructive contributions, for this reason my works can be visceral and diverse. Born: 1955 Havana, Cuba. Lives: Switzerland. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and studied Art History at the University of Havana. 1987 I had my first solo exhibition at the National Theater in Havana, followed by exhibitions in Philippines, Colombia and Denmark. 1991 I received a prestigious award at the 2nd Postage Stamp Design Contest in Japan. 1997 I was granted an artist residence in Bornholm. Denmark. 2000 I was invited to be part of the group exhibition: HULRUM Masnedó Fortet Vordinborg, Denmark together with 31 artists from North Europa. After 13 years in Scandinavia where I made several exhibitions in Denmark and Sweden I moved to Switzerland, my current home, where I made already over 30 exhibitions. My work is included in public and private collections in Denmark, Germany, United States, Canada, Spain, Japan, Sweden, Norway, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Philippines, France, Switzerland and Cuba. ..
