This work belongs to a series of 17 paintographies devoted to dance. The title "The Line" refers to the splits performed by the ballerina, her two legs forming a single continuous line instead of the usual two parallel lines... This painting is a unique piece made in a mixed technique on canvas that combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (glossy lacquered glazes and raised squares that look like glass inlays). The canvas is signed on the back. The painting is framed in black American box (total dimensions: approximately 81 x 136 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
