About The Artwork

"The Offering" is a self Portrait painting from the series "window of the soul " and I'm inspired by how I've come to see and been a witness in this world, for all I know,I'm here to serve. My self portrait being the main subject in this body if work is finished in Acrylics and Oil on Canvas. The portrait stands tall on a mud pink background facing directly from our view with a strong gaze of optimism. I chose to hold a Yellow Rose flower, painted in my abstract signature that symbols hope in all. I appealed myself with a piece of clothing covering just my front leaving a bit of back, being naked. As this symbols I have nothing to hide for naked I came and every single thing I do must be seen by the world as an Artist. Within my appeal are red and purple texture patterns of Ancestral marks eyes revealing emotions of my every day life, as I struggle but optimistic.

NanaOsei (Victor Osei Mensah) born 1997, Ghanaian Contemporary self thought Artist, Painting mainly Figurative Finished in Acrylics/Oil on Canvas. NanaOsei has a dynamic style of painting technique – abstract face drawings – in rendering the clothing . The face drawings, with eyes that express emotions, concealed within the colourful patterning of the works echo the notion that there is wonder interlaced in the fabric of the banal. The extraordinary in the ordinary. This reiterates the message that there is beauty and colour to be found in the monotonous.
