About The Artwork

Absorbed by the vortex of the virtual world and by increasingly intrusive technologies, man lends himself to becoming a function of virtual services and equipment and does not notice that he is quickly moving towards the point of no return. The clock indicates that there is little time for this to happen. The virtual world in turn leads to a distancing and a loss of sensitivity towards nature and the young Indio represents the indigenous ethnic groups who live in contact with nature and are constantly threatened and repressed in increasingly restricted territories, especially to steal matters raw materials necessary for the production of new technologies. The young boy stretches out his hand to attract the attention of the observer and asks for help not to be overwhelmed and disappear into this system. Orfeo raises the bottle signaling the emergency and the danger to warn the observer.

Marco Stocco, an Italian artist born in Palmanova (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italia) March 24, 1970, living between Italy and Brasil (Bahia). Self-taught, from an early age, he begins to show an interesting curiosity for drawing following his creative impulse. He begins the first figurative works in which he often represents women and face of his own imagination. In 2009 he create Orfeo a contemplative and imaginary character channelling fragments and sensations perceived in certain moments of his artistic progress to Orfeo. With Orfeo he begins to create a collection of works "Orfeo ...artistic tastings" where he represents the imaginary through painting. Marco Stocco's art is the result of an inner need and a destination, in the case of the artist it is fundamental to fix one's origins in the memory and portray places that are particularly significant for him. Always enchanted by Nature and evocative glimpses of Friulian landscapes, he began to intuit and channel an emerging embryo in his imagination to create works through which he will tell his story. A curious character will come to life in front of the lagoon of Grado, who is first conceived and studied with fast drawing and sketches and, once defined in his details and symbols, will find the right location in the canvases In 2009 Orfeo took on a precise and outlined form which made the artist's profound work of introspection palpable Marco Stocco's painting techniques are acrylic on canvas, oil on canvas, acrylic on wood and synthetic enamels on metal laminates http://www.raffaellaferrari.it/work/marco-stocco/ Since 2020 he has collaborated with the Roman Rizzi - Piè di Mont Italian Winery for the artistic labels of wine bottles ORFEO represents the soul of imaginary, contemplative, trascendent and optimistic character with quite a vital energy. Orfeo's wine represents the blood and the ancient origin of the history of humanity. Orfeo is the feeling of my (our) being in vibration with our own intuition. He does not have a face because our soul doesn't need a mask. He does not havea mounth to speak nevertheless he can communicate. He does not have ears to listen but he can hear you. He does not have eyes to see but he gives us a viewing of the unseen. While I'm asking myself if the eyes are a mirror of our soul, I answer: Orfeo is indeed o soul without mirrors, o soul which is in harmony with the eyes that are watching him. Marco Stocco
