Lucinda Leveille is a semi realist artist whose diverse body of work spans across various mediums, primarily oils and watercolours. She delves into series-based exploration, drawing inspiration from elements like colour palettes, geographical locales, literature, and seasonal moods. Her artistic journey often revolves around a central motif—the horizon line—which imbues her pieces with a timeless and solitary essence. Through themes like The Road Series and Exploring The Solitary, she navigates the nuances of human experience, while her Songs Of The Sea series captures the essence of coastal landscapes. In her recent “Above The Canopy” series Lucinda finds inspiration in the vivid hues of the Australian landscape and the resilient gum tree left standing outside her studio window. This series allows her to intricately depict the delicate beauty of trees and clouds. Lucinda’s artistic philosophy centers on storytelling, with each piece narrating a tale of her environment, life, and personal journey. Recently, two of her pieces were featured in the Netflix movie True Spirit, courtesy of Art Lovers Australia.
