The Symbol of Power and Wealth Painting

What/who inspired the work? I got inspiration from Morgan Davidson BFA in illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design who always had a strong passion for drawing and an artistic career from a young age. What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? The artwork represents different meanings to different cultures, the peacock, with its unique beauty, makes it a handy symbol of power, beauty, rebirth, and wealth, as well as of sinful pride strength, confidence, and even divinity. Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, and style? I use putty, feathers, and acrylic paint. I choose this medium because the Putty will serve or create a strong foundation for the acrylic paint and feathers by providing an even & smooth surface along with ensuring that the artwork lasts longer. The subject matter is power and beauty. I choose the impasto technique to help me throw emphasis on certain areas and also make the surface strokes visible.
