About The Artwork
This painting is based on the winter sun, emerging low and staying low the whole day (from a northern european perspective). It appears from the stand/frame. As it is painted with neo-pastel on anti-reflective glass, the effect is matt and the colour still translucent. Due to that the painting is visible from both sides. The colour gets reflected on the side of the glass. This gives the painting multiple ways to look at and multiple colour experiences. When it is standing in a window, you can even see the painting reflecting in the window glass as well. This is the first small painting made on this glass, it comes with an oak wood stand/frame. The glass has two sides, the anti-reflective glass has a matt effect on the painting. The other side is normal glass which will reflect. You will experience that the colours appear a bit different on both sides. Please be careful in taking care of this painting, the glass is 2mm thick, but glass is fragile. It can be dusted carefully with a duster, due to its varnish layer. But if you are careful, it is one of a kind and really special item. You will let the sun appear in your space.
