Title - Time Does Not Exist IV (Shunya/Calmness) This final and fourth work in the series *Time Does Not Exist* titled *Shunya/Calmness* explains it all. Harsh has tried to depict as she understands after this horrid Covid experience that the answers are within and calmness of the mind and soul and alignment with the universe which is formless and in constant motion free from man-made time frames. She has tried to depict that "white light" in the shape of circle. The circle is a universal symbol with extensive meaning. It represents the notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, the Self, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, all cyclic movement, God ('God is a circle whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere'. Hence the ultimate goal of humanity - Shunya. This series of four artworks done in acrylics on Canvas are titled "*Time Does Not Exist*". Working in monochrome format is always exciting and challenging as we need to express ourselves in values and saturation and not in colour. I feel an artist must indulge in this technique from time to time to better thier art.

Born in Kolkata, India in 1970. Had an affinity for Art since the very childhood. Won a number of awards including an award in the "Shankar's International Children's Competition" in 1983. Worked at "Triveni kala Sangam", New Delhi, under the guidance of Shobha & eminent painter Rameshwar Broota for 3 years. Started her career as a painter while studying in the Govt. College Of Art, Chandigarh with a successful award winning participation in Annual Photo exhibition and by displaying 'Moonlit demure'a lino-cut graphic work in the first year of college in 1989. Did illustration & designing work for the books "The India its Culture and its People" & "Bulbul". She was then awarded scholarship to study Fine Arts in Moscow State College of Art n.a V.I Surikov, Moscow, Russia in 1989. Completed the seven years Degree course specializinfg in "Oil Painting" and held exhibitions while studying. Represented India in the International Art workshop "Interplenair '95" in Divnogorsk and Krasnoyarsk and exhibited her works in the expositions following it in Siberia and Moscow along with many other renowned Russian and South-Asian country Artists like Jatin Dass, Vitaly Popov, Chen Kejana, H.Kaikhara etc. One of her Silk Batik work is in the collection of the Surikov Atr Museum in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Developed a neoteric style of painting combining the Realistic and abstract forms. Displayed works exhibit symbolism. The drawings are a blend of emotions, thoughts and moods all depicted colorfully on the canvas. The artist is highly inspired by Salvador Dali's work. Women in Harsh's paintings are usually expressive, real and unreal at the same time. She is a romantic by nature, and as she says, she tries to create new type of women. Her maiden's may seem to some as ghostly figures from folk-tales of the middle ages, or like hearthen Goddesses. But to her these ethereal beings represent souls surrounded by the philosophical questions of the "The Ultimate Truth" and "Search for Love".
