TUVALU. There is nothing like a light cross. It's timber has to grow for several years to strengthen it with multiple rings of problems. Its length is as long as the poor's struggle with inadequacies. Its rough bark the intricate texture of wealth that ensnares the rich. To cut it to shape is the labor of a slave and its weight the burden of the ailing sick. There is nothing like a light cross. The crown of thorns are the accolades of pride and ideas outside the thoughts of Christ. The nails are the work of our hands, diligent labor that does nothing for God's kingdom and keeps Him nailed on the cross. His side wound of a spear is our seared conscience to make sure that God is dead in our thoughts and life. But how can mere mortal kill Christ. The stripes on His back separate ideas that rips through the church, the body of Christ. There is nothing like a light cross. It is our hope and motivation. The only price that paid for all mans sins and transgressions. God's work is done, His sacrifice complete. All we need to do is accept His sacrifice of love on not so light a cross.
