This painting was inspired by Casper David Friedrichs paintings.It is about the unknown and our discomfort with it ,the painting depicts a quarry pool thats nature is beautiful and the rocks and plants reflect in the dark water, but at the same time their is an unease with the unknown depth and darkness of the water.It is about exploring and facing the unknown with a sense of ease.
