These cloud forms can exist as independent works of art or interact with each other in an installation. Clouds are a vehicle for me to explore shapes and forms that flow from me—revealing my nature and my experience to me. Through this raw expression, I explore myself and what is inside, then share those discoveries with others.

What's more, clouds are a symbol of freedom for me in the way they wander about wherever the wind takes them. In certain circumstances they can represent provision—the replenishing rain. That provision comes in a powerful package, revealing truths about our creator.

My work is a marriage of exploration and expression– my feelings and ideas on such motifs as humanity, truth, and metaphysics are made manifest through art. I am inspired by, and drawn to, the beauty and complexity of nature. For this reason, landscapes and nature are my primary vehicles for said exploration and expression. With influences like tattoo and graffiti art, hotrod paint jobs, Dr. Seuss, comic books, Van Gogh, and Charles Burchfield, I have managed to create my own form of expressionism that brings wild landscapes to life in gallery spaces. This expressionism does more than comment on my own emotions. The act of looking at the world I inhabit carefully and trying to transcribe it into art teaches me both about myself and the world in which I currently reside. I learn things in the close examination of my surroundings and the translation process, where I try to turn my thoughts into works of art. Once this process is complete, I then share my findings with others via that art. Regardless of language or situation art facilitates fellowship with my fellow man.

I’m a creator, a servant leader, an explorer, and an educator. Born and raised in rural Louisiana, I missed out on an art education in high school, but quickly became fascinated with art in college. A spark was ignited, and learning about art and learning in general pretty well consumed me. Even to this day I strive to learn and improve in many disciplines. I’m currently sojourning in Dallas with my wife and 3 children. For the time, I am teaching sculpture to high school students and giving back to the art community to make sure that our next generation is getting the quality art education that I missed out on in high school. Along side teaching, I show art throughout the United States as well as internationally. My work is a marriage of exploration and expression—my feelings and ideas on such motifs as the human condition, truth, and metaphysics are made manifest through painting and sculpture. Because I am inspired by the beauty and complexity in nature, landscapes and nature are my primary vehicles for said exploration. With influences like tattoo and graffiti art, Dr. Seuss, comic books, Van Gogh, and Charles Burchfield, I have managed to create my own form of expressionism that brings wild landscapes to life in gallery spaces. This expressionism does more than comment on my own emotions. The act of looking at the world I inhabit carefully and trying to transcribe it into art teaches me both about myself and the world around me. I learn things in the close examination of my surroundings and the translation process, where I try to turn my thoughts into works of art. Once this process is complete, I then share my findings with others via that art. Art, to me, is a gift of self-discovery that allows for fellowship with my fellow man in a significant way, regardless of language or situation.
