About The Artwork
This artwork is from the "Insectarium Series". Lots of insects: some are real (scientific illustration) and others are invented Gyrosomus angustus, Vaquita del Desierto, is an insect that wakes up during the Flowering Desert phenomenon in the Atacama Desert. I make an insectarium with the painting as a mean to show the species without sacrificing it. The insect is cut and has a little cardboard so it can be punctured on a surface to be framed as an insectarium.
