About The Artwork
"Walking on Water" series began after 3/11/11 Tohoku Tsunami and Earthquake as a prayer and to ask "how do we walk on water?" Fujimura desired the painting to both be an elegy and generative image for all to journey into the New. This particular image, in private collection was recently selected by Yale Press for Fujimura's "Art and Faith: Theology of Making" (fall 2020 release).
