About The Artwork
The painting can be divided into two equal-sized squares. The upper half is divided into two triangles (airplane condensation trail). Intruding into the corner of the picture is a white spot resembling an empty speech bubble. Through simple geometric symbols, I refer to the divine order that surrounds us in our mundane world as well. The title of the painting, "Where Does the Sound Come From?" also hints at this - it could refer to the sound of the plane, but due to the empty speech bubble and the geometric symbols, it could also allude to a deeper, internal sound.
