All my life I have loved the sea and it remains my favourite topic, especially on a stormy and rainy day. This modern, monochrome painting is about storm, changes, challenges and the beauty that lies in each new development. 30x60 cm on rough 300g professional watercolor paper, lightfast W&N and DS Watercolors used. The painting will come unframed, signed on the back. Certificate of Authenticity. ATTENTION: Blues and greys are very difficult to photograph. This painting is a blueish grey more than a pure blue. It comes unframed and would love a silver, black, white or wooden frame. The frame shown is just an example, of course you can frame much bigger. Just ask if you want any advice! (c) Gesa Reuter 2020

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
