Looking at horses, I always wondered how this strong and large animal could be so friendly and trusting for people. At the same time, it's almost magic how people managed to create such a close mental and physical interface with them that allows them to be handled so accurately. In fact, each horse carries a certain portion of its wild nature, which must be balanced by skills imposed by people. This painting, symbolizing the dualism of nature and human activity, makes you think about where that line is which allows to achieve balance. I chose a polo pony as a model for this painting, because it is the polo game, in my opinion, that best demonstrates the unity of conflicting essences of the horse. That mix of wild agility and precise maneuvering which makes it so beautiful.
