This black and white photograph was taken while in Paris this summer .We rented a flat for 4 months in Montmartre. Everyday I would take a stroll through the streets and one day I met a French Lady walking her dog. She told me how much Montmartre has changed. She said all the artists have left now as it is too expensive to rent flats there . I felt this gentleman was waiting for so long that he was ready to get up and leave, though not sure if his friend would show or not. I thought it captured the poignancy of the moment., should I stay or should I go ? In this piece, I've captured the essence of a timeless moment, juxtaposing the bustling potential of a Parisian café with the solitary repose of an individual.
