The minimalist photography of a smooth blue curtain tightly covering the entire frame of the picture field is a conceptual activity on the subject of visuality / vision strategy. The painting reaches for psychoanalysis and analyzes the boundary between the conscious and the unconscious, the visible and the invisible, here and there, evoking a feeling of anxiety, insatiable curiosity about what the curtain hides, and the desire to go beyond the veil. I clearly refer to the theme of Shakespeare's veil (“Hamlet”, III/3) and the tension characteristic of cinema noire. The curtain in an intense dark ultramarine color activates the viewer's memory of Yves Klein's monochromes from 1950-60 realized with the help of the painterly color invented by the artist known as International Klein Blue.
