The dress was inspired by the phoenix and motifs on ancient Dong Son bronze drums of Vietnam and therefore painted most charmingly pictures of Vietnamese tradition and art. The golden color is very symbolic of power and royalty in the Vietnamese culture, in the past, up to the XX century, only the emperors and their families were allowed to wear them.
