This is a straight photograph of the reflection on the surface of an automobile parked on the street. I started seeing these wild and surreal images one day while walking through a parking lot on my way to the library. Three hours later I left the parking lot and I have not been able to stop seeing these since. It gets a little dangerous when I’m driving. The way the light bends and warps the subject reminds me of the blurring landscapes I saw riding in a car as a kid. A review of this work said ““Car art of a new order. I am drawn to these bent images since they have a seductive, luxurious finish.........Without the knowledge that they are named after car names the works would seem cryptic and poetic, which they are.......Beautiful work.” Elisabeth Ivers/Dan Peyton” The photographs are printed on aluminum to being the viewer back to the experience I had when making the image. The prints are created by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets, creating vibrant colors with breathtaking luminescence. Each piece comes with a unique float mounting system for hanging which makes the piece appear to float away from the wall.

or the past several years Grove's work has been landscape based. While there are never any figures in the work there is always the mark that people have left: industrial wastelands giving way to high rises, farmland and forests folding to create overgrown housing developments, automobiles distorting the scenery they were manufactured to speed through, and most recently boat hulls recording the stormy seascapes they were built to navigate . Signs of a “civilized” culture. The work distorts the landscape to show the damage we are doing to it. These are toxic environments we are creating by industry, human convenience, progress. Grove is the creator of the group "Thou Art Mom", which brings mother artists together for support and networking. She has curated two shows with the same title. Grove graduated from the School of Visual Arts in NYC with a BFA in Photography. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. She has been published in numerous books, magazines, and newspapers and has pieces in public and private collections both in the United States and Europe.
