David Bowie Photograph - Limited Edition of 1

David Bowie is one of those rare and true musical chameleons who has kept people of all different generations captivated with his many disguises: folksinger, androgyne, alien, decadent, blue-eyed soul man, modern rock star - each one spawning a league of imitators. His most innovative, theatrical and daring album Ziggy Stardust made him one of rock music's greatest icons. "There's a Starman waiting in the sky," says Bowie in that strange voice filled with premonitions. "He'd like to meet us but he's afraid he'd blow our minds." And he was right he did blow all our minds. 'This guy is unbelievable, almost like chatting to your best mate within five seconds of meeting him. I spent half a day in studio with him; at one point he picked me up and threw me around the studio. I had to tell him that we had to get on - this felt a bit strange telling your musical hero to behave. One thing I did find funny was the big truck of clothes that was sent for him to choose his outfit from. There were more than 20 full wardrobes of clothes arriving all at once. It was almost like Elton John was appearing. Anyhow all I ended up asking him to wear was a black t-shirt and trousers - keep it simple being my philosophy.' ITEM SPECIFICS:   * Image size 30 x 24 inch  / 762 x 610 mm - with the added white border the final artwork size approx. 36 x 30 inch. * Edition of 30 * Photographed on 10 x 8 plate camera using 10 x 8 black and white negative film. * All artworks are personally signed and numbered by the photographer and are supplied with a certificate of covenant.  * All sizes specified are the approximate image size only, a further 2-4 inch white border is also added. Nb: border sizes depend on the print size ordered. TECHNOLOGY / MATERIALS USED: * All prints are made using the Lambda printing process and the highest quality fibre based/bromide paper materials.  * All print work, unless instructed otherwise, is mounted onto Dibond. Nb: Dibond is a lightweight composite of aluminium and PVC. * All artworks are supplied with a subframe and wall holding bracket which allows for the hanging/displaying of your artwork. PACKAGING OF THE PRINT:  * For UK we package the print in hardened cardboard. * For sending overseas we send by using one of our lightweight wooden crates. * We use only recognised and reliable delivery services but it is our aim to keep the shipping costs to a minimum.
