About The Artwork

This work is from a series of ambrotypes on clear glass, created in 2021. The origin of the Dryad the Forest Nymph is connected with Greek mythology. According to legend, a dryad was born together with a tree that grew in the forest. The soul of the forest acquired its physical form and began to protect its tree from any threats. Dryads were considered the guardians of the life of all plants and forest flora, and helped people in caring for forests and protecting nature. I used the wet plate collodion technique of 1851 to create it, the eglomise technique, and modern technology. My printing method allows you to metallize the image. The resulting image shines in the sun and is illuminated at night even by a small light source This work is accompanied by a certificate with the author's signature and information about the technique and edition. This work is made on acrylic glass with silver. If you need another size, or other material (canvas, aluminum, wood, silver, copper), please contact me
