I'm very fortunate to live in a beautiful location... I didn't have to travel too far for this image. One fall evening as the sun was setting, I opened up the back door and walked out into my yard and captured these fisherman lined up visually with the point of land. The golden glow and reflections of the setting sun provided the perfect backdrop for folks fishing. “Fishing the Point at Sunset” is produced in a limited edition of 3 with 1 artist proof. It is infused onto a matte finished aluminum panel that measures 72 inches x 24 inches. This work of art has an inserted, hidden back frame that holds the image off the wall so that it appears to float off its hanging spot. And, this hanging spot can be in areas where more traditional framed artwork cannot be safely hung. The Dye Sublimation process produces archival quality works that are scratch, light, and moisture resistant. Dye Sublimation uses heat and pressure to turn dyes into a gas that are fused (sublimated) into the aluminum itself. This bonding with the metal is what gives the process its bold, colorful, and long-lived elegance. Your artwork is signed on the back along with the title, size, number and edition size. The back signature and information is also sublimated into the metal. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The Certificate of Authenticity has a unique hologram and serial number system that is also present on the back of the Limited Edition print. Your Limited Edition Dye Sublimated print will be registered with the Hahnemühle Art Registry. Please allow 2-4 weeks for the production of your new artwork.

Marc Ward is a Florida born artist that resides in the mountains of East Tennessee. Though he now lives on sloped ground, much of his work is still shaped by the expansive views of his home state’s flat land and water. During the 70’s and 80’s his three dimensional work was exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions including the Smithsonian Institute’s Renwick Gallery. The 90’s and 00’s saw he and his wife Kathy, operate their own gallery that represented the work of 150+ artists and craftspeople. Also, during this period, Marc started a firm that produces equipment for potters, sculptors, glassblowers, and metal casters. Now, his photographic based work is exhibited nationally and internationally with his work garnering awards such as the International Black & White Spider Awards and the International Color Awards.
