About The Artwork

This photo has been taken at my first trip to Africa. I was in Namibia for over three weeks living with Himba, travelling around country and visiting Etosha National Park. During the winter time in Africa water staying only in small ponds and animals need to walk to get water. The beauty of giraffes is outstanding. Photo is printed on the hahnemule photo rag 308g dimension 100x70 cm /39.37x27.56 inch ships in tube. Series 1/10 signed at the back with certificate of authenticity with hologram and signature.

Krzysztof Werema - an archaeologist by education, he created a successful career in photography. He started his photographic journey in 2008 and to date he has been awarded various accolades both in Poland and abroad, inter alia, International photographer of the year (Include year), Px3 Paris (Include year), International Color Awards 2022. He loves to work with flash lighting technique in his projects. Krzysztof Werema has showcased his photography at exhibitions in Poland, Australia, Ireland and the UK. In addition to his keen eye behind the Camera, he also follows other interests from which he draws inspiration such as; Surreal art, symbolism, human body, and studies of African ethnicity.  For many years, the artist has been implementig the long-term project „Dying tribes”, the stages of which are closed by subsequent photography exhibitions. The latest exhibition “On both sides of the White Nile. South Sudan tribes” is the result of a trip to the youngest African country in January 2022.
