About The Artwork

The city of Venice in Italy is the most represented in the world. Already in the XVII Century, painters started to produce small paintings with iconic views of the city for the visitors. These were the first postcards. The city is famous for the combination of water channels, its 1000 bridges, and beautiful architecture. Here I intend to represent it, again, but from the water point of view, enhancing its relationship with the medium and somehow also reflecting on the climate crisis and the raising of sea levels that are already affecting the city. Limited editions of 145x80cm are printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Photo Rag paper 308 g/m2, and are delivered with author certificate. Each artwork is provided with an extra 2cm white border on all four sides to facilitate framing. Prints in smaller sizes are available directly through Saatchi in open editions. Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries. I gladly accept special commissions and requests if you are still unable to find what you are looking for.
