About The Artwork

INHABIT THE SCENE The extremes were never good. Droughts, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, torrential rains, floods, tsunamis, increased temperatures, drastic changes in the climate, extreme events. Our habitat. Images that establish a denatured experience of the landscape, quasi-harmonic, sometimes abstract, a reality fragmented by human beings. I digitally intervene in my own landscapes, where I establish a parallel with the INTERVENTION of human beings in their environment. More than an artistic technique, it is the conceptualization of the idea, an allegory. This photograph is one of several that are part of the conceptual project on the current situation of the planet, in its stage of global boiling, the aesthetics manifest an apparent harmony in a chaotic world. Landscape: Salinas Grandes, Purmamarca, San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina

Andrea Spagnolo was born and live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. BachelorĀ“s Degree in Advertisement, graduated with honors. She used to work as an Account Director, responsible for national and international client support and communication, from different industries. She worked many years at the local DMB&B New York affiliate. Her passion for photography continued to grow and she had her first solo show in 2005. Quasi self-taught, the experience as advertiser outlined her photographic style, transforming her into a conceptual photographer. Statement I base my work on philosophical and social aspects with great focus on people and their environments. The landscape is a recurring theme in my photography, as human being social scene and how it modifies itself. The looking for harmony is a constant in my artwork. I believe in beauty as the sum of imperfections, this is what makes it perfect. I experiment with different techniques and processes that I develop personally. I work on analog, camera less and digital media, challenging the scope of a technically unique artwork. The most gratifying experience as an artist is when I connect with my audience by sharing a complete project: "The artwork has a meaning when it transcends the artist".
