Legs Up on Vintage Sofa Old House With Vintage Sofa Images are part of the Body Way collection, from 2002. The initial project was to illustrate poems that spoke about women in the South of Brazil, mainly in the interior of small towns and rural places, which still maintain some customs today, and perhaps last for a few more decades, mainly conservationism towards women. I believe that this conservationism, machismo, exists in several places in the contemporary world. Furniture and environments in wooden houses over 50 years old are quite common in these small places and cities far from large urban centers. Our young woman shows her naked body in a relaxed and comfortable way in this Vintage environment. Photographed with black and white negative film, Ilford HP5, digitized on a high-resolution scanner, maintaining the natural grain of the film, the vintage atmosphere gains in contrast a relaxation typical of contemporary images.
