About The Artwork

Leonardo's Legacy: The Vitruvian Man pays homage to the timeless brilliance of Leonardo da Vinci. This black and white portrait intricately reproduces the iconic Vitruvian Man, showcasing the enduring fusion of art and science. The subject, a modern embodiment of da Vinci's vision, embodies the pursuit of proportion and perfection. As shadows and highlights play on his form, the photograph becomes a contemporary ode to the Renaissance master, resonating with the enduring spirit of human ingenuity. I am a visual artist, an observer. I observe being and feelings which will inevitably be embodied in shapes and forms. I photograph in stream of consciousness never treating the person in frame as a model, but as a collaborator who is creating with me. Sometimes the person in frame is myself, living in front of my camera. Preferring the process over the result like a satellite i move around the person with my camera, I am just present and fix the specific moments of vulnerability. And when I see it, the moment, the state i know it’s our symbiotic artwork. All optical illusions I create right in the process, and never convert color to black and white. Mainly monochrome result reflects my state through the prism of the state of other person, and quite often my photos are references to classical art of different disciplines.
