About The Artwork

What fascinates me about cities, besides their infinite forms, is the absence of the people by whom and for whom these reinforced concrete conglomerates were built. What remains in their absence? What do I perceive and choose from the infinite combinations of forms, colors, structures, and moods? What happens to the place, the object, when it is alienated, and why can a cold and lifeless structure make me feel something or immerse myself in a mood?

Hi! I am an artist from Switzerland mainly focused on the medium photography. Diving into philosophical questions is what motivates me to make art. Questions like: What is nature? How do we remember? What role does perception play in consciousness? In my artistic work I try to convey these ideas through different types of sensory investigations. With photography, paintings, sound, digital spaces or sculptures I want to look at subtle phenomena as well as atmospheres connected to my explorations.
