Liverpool Docks - Limited Edition of 15 Photograph

After a number of years working in commercial photography, in which precision in detail is often key, I've decided to take a more experimental approach with my art practice. Rather than create pieces which precisely replicate what is being photographed, to instead create more ambiguous pieces. The ambiguity being created in camera rather than the result of post editing. These are pieces that allow the viewer to use their imagination and create their own interpretation of what they are seeing rather than the work being done for them. Liverpool Docks was taken across Hoylake Beach during sunrise. The vertical light streaks are the result of lights on the prominent cranes that can be seen across the River Mersey giving a sense of the industrial nature of a working port. Printed on a heavy weight photo rag paper, a high quality, textured fine art paper with a chalky feel. Provides a lightly defined felt structure to the image. Print signed and numbered. Unframed print provided with a certificate of authenticity.
