About The Artwork

"They say that you have to stand in front of a Rothko canvas as in front of a sunrise" from the book, The Optic Nerve of María Gainza. Manantiales, is the name of a beach in eastern Uruguay, popular for its sunsets at sea. It is the name of my abstract landscapes photo serie. It is a tribute to the senses. I worked with an experimental technique, with the idea that it would look unique according to my feelings. I used a special filter to achieve those saturated colors in the direct shot. Passion, energy, joy, ecstasy. I rescue experiences more than real details. I try to transcend the purely photographic to approach an expressive painting. Exhibited at: - 2016/ Agora Gallery NY - 2017/Art Fusion Galleries Miami - 2019/ Red Dot Miami (represented by Agora Gallery NY) - 2020/ BAphoto Live Edition - 2021/ Art Expo NY (represented by Agora Gallery NY)

Andrea Spagnolo was born and live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Bachelor´s Degree in Advertisement, graduated with honors. She used to work as an Account Director, responsible for national and international client support and communication, from different industries. She worked many years at the local DMB&B New York affiliate. Her passion for photography continued to grow and she had her first solo show in 2005. Quasi self-taught, the experience as advertiser outlined her photographic style, transforming her into a conceptual photographer. Statement I base my work on philosophical and social aspects with great focus on people and their environments. The landscape is a recurring theme in my photography, as human being social scene and how it modifies itself. The looking for harmony is a constant in my artwork. I believe in beauty as the sum of imperfections, this is what makes it perfect. I experiment with different techniques and processes that I develop personally. I work on analog, camera less and digital media, challenging the scope of a technically unique artwork. The most gratifying experience as an artist is when I connect with my audience by sharing a complete project: "The artwork has a meaning when it transcends the artist".
