Moving to a rhythm you cannot hear Photograph

At this critical point in Earth’s history, we are seeing more people concerned by the human effect on the environment and questioning our place and role within the landscape. For centuries, we have tried to draw meaning from the world around us, attributing different myths and legends to the natural world in reverence of these forms. We strive to find a connectedness to the land on which we live; knowing intuitively that it is a force greater than ourselves. 'Moving to a rhythm you cannot hear' is inspired by the the natural global landscape, drawing together imagery from various locations such as Australia, New Zealand, Scandenavia and Northern Europe. It is a reimagining with the aim of creating a wholly new landscape, forcing together a selection of vistas and bringing a heightened understanding of spatiality and interaction through multiplicitous viewpoints. Technical specifications All images are taken by the artist from several locations around Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Each layer is a C-type photograph was carefully cut by hand and glued to archival box board with archival book paste. The whole artwork is mounted inside a black/brown raw wood ‘painting’ frame.
