The inspiration behind this artwork is as captivating as the piece itself. Drawn from the awe-inspiring force of the ocean and its role in climate change, this artwork invites you to contemplate both its strength and vulnerability. As you take in the colors of a two-colored cyanotype, imagine the ebb and flow of the ocean's tides, echoing the delicate balance of our planet's ecosystems. Inspired by the historic cyanotype process and driven by a passion for experimentation, this work was created by printing twice over the same paper, the first layer is toned with botanicals and the second layer is left in the original Prussian blue. This process makes the artwork an unreproducible one of a kind piece. It's a gentle reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and preserve our environment. Let it serve as a gentle nudge to consider the impact of our actions and inspire steps towards positive change. It comes ready to hang with a hand colored blue wooden frame.

Sehera Nawaz is an analog photographer based in Berlin, deeply passionate about exploring alternative printing techniques, especially Cyanotypes. Her journey began with a background in computer science, where she delved into understanding the intricacies of light behavior and camera mechanics. Drawing upon this knowledge, she embarked on a mission to breathe new life into traditional analog photography methods, infusing them with a contemporary touch. One of her signature styles involves creating two-colored Cyanotypes, seamlessly blending modern-day photographs with the time-honored Cyanotype process. It's a technique that allows her to bridge the past with the present, resulting in captivating visuals that captivate the viewer's imagination. Her work has found its way into book publications and magazines, and she take immense joy in sharing her knowledge and expertise through Cyanotype workshops held at her studio in Berlin. Beyond the technical aspects, my artistic journey is a deeply personal one. Through projects like the '#blaugemacht' series, I explore themes of tranquility and introspection, seeking to evoke a sense of calm amidst the chaos of modern life.
