Still Life, Quince, Rosehip, Fig Photograph - Limited Edition of 6

This Still Life was inspired by the shapes, textures and colours of Autumn. For me the shape of the quinces is reminiscent of the human form. I reference Dutch 17th century still life painting with the dark background and high contrast. I hope that the viewer will enjoy the richness and opulence of the image and be able to immerse themselves in it for a while. The picture was captured digitally and printed onto archival quality Hahnemulhe German Etching Paper. It is mounted onto a thick wooden substrate by one of London's top print studios. The Artist has then finished the surface of the image with layers of acrylic medium which not only protect the surface but also enhance the painterly impression. It is then laid into a black wooden float frame ready for hanging
