About The Artwork

This limited Edition works is titled Tarbat Ness Lighthouse. Tarbat Ness Lighthouse was engineered by Robert Stevenson and constructed in 1830 after a single storm claimed sixteen vessels in the Moray Firth. The light was first exhibited on 26th January 1830 an continues to exhibit today. This photograph was made using a long exposure on the full moon of the Autumn equinox of 2018, September 23rd. I used both the light from the lighthouse and the light from the full moon to create this exposure. Paper size: 16 x 20 in. Image size: 15 x 18.75 in. Printed on Ilford Baryta Fibre paper, with a lustre finish. Includes signed Certificate of Authenticity. Bobby Mills is an emerging photographer who's work is a pure and honest reflection of his experience of the everyday world around him. His work has been recognised and published by the British Journal of Photography and exhibited across the UK and in Australia. Surf and travel are vehicles for Bobby's work and provide him wth inspiration to keep moving and experiencing the world around him. Over the past 4 years, Bobby has been expanding his knowledge and use of large format photography, finding inspiration in its inherent slow and detailed image making process. This conscious, thought through way of making photographs constantly feeds and inspires his wider practice. "...photography allows me to naturally describe the world around me and allows stories and places to fill my world that otherwise might not. The beauty of the everyday is something Im becoming increasingly passionate about."
