The Frozen Danube Coast #4/9 Photograph - Limited Edition of 9

From my earliest childhood, from the time when I still had no idea about myself, I drew. In addition to drawing, I liked to explore the trees and nearby rooftops. I used to sit there for hours and draw or think in solitude. I loved the view from that angle, and I especially liked the fact that passers-by didn't notice me. That angle is significantly represented in my photographic work. After spending a lot of time in various model airplanes, helicopters and motor kites, the idea occurred to me that taking photos from a balloon, given its quiet flight, might be a good solution. I could use longer exposures and shoot even when there is not much light. I bought one balloon that did not have a basket, but only one seat. That was a big advantage because that balloon was much smaller, therefore more mobile, and I could land anywhere and take off again without any problems, which was not possible with a classic balloon with a basket. After six months of training and passing a series of exams required to obtain a balloon pilot's license, I flew over the Danube River and took this photo. I really like the shapes I see on the surface of the icy water. I printed this photo by myself with the excellent Epson SureColor P9000 printer using pigment colours on the highest quality Sihl Swiss paper. This guarantees top quality and longevity.
