About The Artwork

Collaboration Between Golnaz Jamsheed and Ardalan Azarmi (2020) Death is not an experience in life. Death cannot be known at all. Death is the only truth about life. Confront death with an open and mindful attitude. I live with the notion of death every single day. I believe that if you don’t derive a deep sense of purpose from what you do, if you don’t come radiantly alive several times a day, if you don’t feel deeply grateful at the tremendous good fortune that has been bestowed on you, then you are wasting your life. And life is too short to waste. Death is a reflection of our own lives. Death means the end of our future. Embracing death allows us to learn to be more present, to enjoy the only thing that we really have: here and now. Knowing that each day that we live we are one day closer to death gives us a unique perspective. It allows us to more deeply savor each experience. Life is too short. Take it seriously.
