Time capsule: PORTO Once a venerable capital of Portugal, Porto is a breathtaking time capsule of imperfect beauty layered through the wild, irregular topography of opposites – deep riverbed gracefully melting into the Atlantic Ocean, the Duoro valley overlooking the broadly spread out city where each building holds memories of centuries long past alongside the post-modern architecture. Behold the past while standing firmly in the present moment! _________________________ FINE ART PRINT DETAILS: ‘Time capsule: PORTO’ photograph comes in a limited edition of 20 prints + 1AP. It is printed on the fine art Hahnemühle Pearl paper in weight of 285/gsm and it has a natural white color with a satin/pearl smooth texture. Each image is expertly printed as a giclée using 11 inks in high resolution of 2880x1440 DPI and it has an archival life of 80 years. Each fine art print is hand signed by the artist, Tatiana Kuzyk and is delivered with a signed and dated certificate of authenticity bearing a numbered hologram and a matching hologram is attached to the back of the print to protect the artwork against forgery. DIMENSIONS: 36 x 24inches (914 x 610mm) There is a white 0.5inch (13mm) boarder on all sides of the print for ease of mounting and framing. ________________________________

ARTIST STATEMENT As an artist, I view myself as a surveyor of liminal topographies. At the heart of my practice is an associative process that’s inherently autobiographical and is continuously propelled by my subjective sensations. I mine the raw materials for my works from both the quotidian and threads of memory. And thus, time and space are ongoing protagonists in my artistic inquiries. Liminal space is an unnerving ‘w/holy ground’ of epistemological reckoning that can be denoted - within physical, mental, or emotional contexts - as an ‘in-between- space/state’ of disorientation and ambiguity. Liminality can be experienced whenever a referent is temporarily obscured or removed from a familiar context. Liminality, with its multifaceted disguises, constitutes the thematic focus of my art practice. Topography is defined as a process of mapping – creating visual representations - of specific characteristics pertaining to an environment or structural entity. It is this sculptural aspect of my practice that incites my intent probing of materiality within traditionally atypical mediums of photography and text. The resulting works contemplate on liminal dimensions of a contemporary human experience.
