About The Artwork

Color photograph with matte lamination layer, sticked on white polystyrene (without frame) Polyptych with 6 parts - 20X30 cm each part (66X63 cm - approximated dimensions of assembly) This work has limited edition of 3 copies + 1 artist's print, made only and exclusively by the artist. The edition is signed and numbered on the back of the photo. The present edition is: A.P. (Artist's Print, the last copy), the other 3 editions already belong to private collections. Observation: These photos were not manipulated by software. The images were made in two stages. First the artist took and printed the self-portraits, then she superimposed layers of drawings pierced with needle on transparent paper on top of the self-portraits. After this, a second photograph was taken of each composition, giving origin to this series. The result of this process suggests the almost real sensation as to the physical existence of a second transparent layer over the pictures.
