About The Artwork
Roger Collins, a farmer in Jessup, Iowa, was 97 years old when he peered into his old barn on the farm in Jessup, Iowa. What originally drew me to take the photograph was seeing the texture of his worn hand resting on the weathered wood of the barn. But when I look at the image, I always end up comtemplating his posture as he gazed into the dark, old barn as though he was peering into his past.
