Wind and Form, Silver Gelatin Print - Limited Edition of 5 Photograph

It was a bitterly cold winter day when this photograph was made. So cold that we had to work quickly, limiting the model's exposure to the wind and the drops of rain that were flying through the air. Sometimes working under such conditions can be exhilarating. It forces me to work quickly. Composing and metering the light of the scene in a but a few seconds after layer upon layer of clothing is dropped to the model's feet for a quick exposure on film. If you've ever heard the phrase "art through adversity" you'd have a pretty good idea what making this photograph felt like. There are times when difficult conditions end up making the best work. About The Print: Silver gelatin fiber based print made to archival standards. Original image is from an analogue negative printed in a traditional wet darkroom. All prints retain the original aspect ratio of the negative and printed on 16 x 20 heavy weight fiber based paper. Signed, numbered, and dated (when printed) on the back of the print.
