Big Ben Strikes Seven, Rainy Evening - Limited Edition Etching (300) Print

I created this limited edition fine-art etching from sketches I captured one rainy evening in London. The wet surfaces with their bleaching reflections and the blurring effect of the driving rain gave the scene an unusually fleeting feeling. The night illuminations on the parliament buildings and Big Ben's tower add to the shimmering effect. I created the limited edition fine-art etching by drawing onto copper plate. The tones are created by a multitude of fine lines bitten into the copperplate. I hand print it myself onto the highest quality heavyweight cotton rag paper using high quality inks. The image size is just under 8 inches by 6 inches (198 x 147 mm). The paper size is larger. Each print is individually numbered and signed by the artist.
